Serena Williams Loses Her Cool on Match Point

Serena Williams MadOnly in America would a professional tennis player swear at a line judge, and receive a point penalty costing her the match.

It was the second to last point of the match at the US-Open semifinals and after missing her first serve, Serena Williams was called for a foot fault on her second. So, what do all professional tennis players do in this situation? They keep their cool and finish their match right? Well, Serena Williams didn’t think so.

Going straight towards the line judge, Serena pointed her racquet and reportedly said, "I swear to God (bleep), I'm taking this ball and I'm shoving it down your (bleeping) throat."

Serena said in the interview after the match that she didn’t know why the line judge felt threatened. Well Serena, if you were a small girl being yelled at by a 5’ 10'' pro tennis player holding a racquet, then tell us if you feel threatened.

We understand that the call was made on a controversial play, but your actions on the next play made us feel no sympathy for your defeat.

All we can say is Whoops America!

  • Nicola  - Shameful
I have never liked her but I was shocked to see her outrageous outburst  . Serena clearly thinks she is bigger than the game. Her real ultra arrogant self now shone through  . I'm kind of happy because she was getting too c**ky lately proclaiming herself to be a "real no.1" despite not having enough points  .
Well the signs were always there I think...
  • Josh McGivens  - Sad Day for Women's Tennis
You know this is a really sad day for women's tennis. One of their best players shows her true colors infront of thousands of fans. It's very upsetting because my two daughters looked up to Serena very much... and now I am skeptical about letting them watch her again. Because that is not the kind of message I want my kids to get...I was so upset when they saw her reaction.

Thank God I was watching with them to let them know that you are not supposed to act like that!
  • Helen Herssens  - Serena's Trash Behavior
I was a Fan of Serena Williams until her outburst. Her disrespect for another person doing their job, is frankly shameful and a bad example to all the young hopeful girls out there.
Not even an apology to the linesman.
People like that ruin the game.
  • Nikki G  - Get it straight serena
